Why Quality Firewood Costs What It Does
Bringing firewood to market takes more than cutting a log. We purchase large loads of hardwood logs, then process, move, season, store and measure the wood using commercial-grade equipment. Chainsaws, splitters, storage racks, measuring racks, trucks, trailers and tractors all require fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, filters, chain sharpening, maintenance and repairs.
Firewood is also labor intensive and each piece is handled multiple times before it reaches the customer. Insurance, taxes and operating costs are part of running a legitimate local business. We work to price our firewood fairly and competitively while maintaining the quality and consistency our customers expect.
We may not always be the cheapest option, but our focus is value: clean wood, accurate quantities, proper preparation and a business that has been here since 2010.
